Experience required and job duties of the role:

-operating of the CNC machine in a responsible safe manner;

-examining drawings and specifications to determine appropriate method, sequence of operations and machine setting;

-producing products that confirm to strict manufacturing parameters. Workmanship quality will be self policed but independently verified;

-setting machine controls and adjusting machine table, stops and guides;

-working with colleagues in Production, Materials, Engineering and other plant functions where appropriate to achieve various production, quality and lead-time KPI targets;

-operating automatic or manual controls to feed tool to workpiece or vice versa and checking accuracy of machining;

-contributing suggestions that will improve quality, products & processes which could in turn deliver cost reductions, productivity & performance gains;

-repositioning workpiece, changing tools and resetting machine as necessary during production run;

-Monitoring tools and equipment’s in areas of responsibility and reports repairs, upgrades or replacement to maintenance;

-must know lathe CNC controls, including multiple-axis machining centres, and be adaptable toward ever-changing technology;

-excellent technical knowledge;

-ability to read, analyse, and interpret 2D & 3D drawings;

-previous experience of working within an ISO Quality Assured Environment;

-instructing operators on the safe and correct method of operation of the machine; and

-Knowledge of 5S, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances.

-Goal oriented – You can set an objective and you go hard to achieve or exceed it.

-Solution focused – You have no issues with asking customers questions, breaking down the issue and build a documented picture of the problem to find a suitable solution.

-Communications skills – The eligible person should have good verbal communication (Preferred proficiency: English) using appropriate business language.
